We do not support Vincenzo Piuri for IEEE president. We also regret having had to list the IP address and domain name of his alma mater, but that happens when you do not react to complaints of abuse.
The original spam and complaint happened in mid-May 2017.
Repeat spam in earlier today, no responses to the May complaint, so we listed the sending organization.
Following still more spam of the same kind and absolutely no response whatsoever from the University of Milan,
Following still more spam of the same kind and still zero response from the University of Milan, we decided not to list 159.149.130.0/24 and 159.149.70.0/24, but went straight for the 159.149.0.0/16.
We listed Aruba.it’s 62.149.156.0/24 after Professor Piuri used his University of Milan connection 159.149.70.130 to connect to Aruba servers and send out the same spam. We also listed the new domain name aeflab.net which was in the From: – this belongs to the Politecnico di Bari.
Aruba.it’s 62.149.128.0/19 listed – Vincenzo Piuri spam seen from another /24.
The new IP of VincenzoPiuri dot org [23.185.0.2] was listed following more spam. GARR were informed again.
The University of Milan email services office wants their IP to be removed.
Just like that. They quote the reason
in their delisting request, but give us no reason why we should reconsider. In addition, Professor Piuri remains tightly seated where he always was.
